RECRUITMENT
Recruitment in Brazil is very common to recruiting practices used in the US. Most positions are open to any individual which possesses the skills, abilities, and knowledge required for the position. At times there may be multiple candidates for the same position; in Brazil, candidates are interviewed individually and the the one who is deemed most qualified by the HR department is generally offered the position. Currently in Brazil, there are no legal provisions to promote the recruitment of any particular group of people.
Recently, Brazil began implementing initiatives to reform the planning, recruiting and hiring practices used for government employees and civil servants. These initiatives have been put in place in order to standardize practices used to anticipate hiring needs and provide a framework for recognizing the appropriate person to fill a government position.
